Profile
I’m Nicholas Cheng, an illustrator from Taiwan with an MA in Illustration from Kingston School of Art. My work is rooted in storytelling — quiet, reflective, and often inspired by the subtle rhythms of everyday life.

I create illustrations that balance emotion and clarity, using soft textures and gentle compositions to evoke mood and narrative. Whether I’m working on children’s books, editorial pieces, branding visuals, or packaging design, I aim to craft images that feel sincere and quietly poetic.

I’m currently open to commissions, licensing, collaborations.
Let’s connect and create something meaningful together.

Cat Sculpture

//Self project

Cats are endlessly fascinating.

Like sculptures in a museum, every angle shows a different view to admire.

Life

//Self project

Some moments in my lovely life.

Catffeine

//Self project

In this series, I drew more than 50 cats.

Just like I need daily coffee, I need a cat every day.

Migrant And Spring

// Key Visual

Pottery Fair

// Key Visual

The poster is for the pottery theme fair, which is trying to let the participant could experience the pottery-making process.

Based on the wheel-throwing clay, in the middle of the image shows the pottery artists who immerse themselves in the process.

And the splashing clays are just like clouds carrying the impression of people in the market.

Taiwanese Oolong

//Package

To let the customer know the taste between different oolong tea, I design the package with the aroma and flavor directly via the illustration, which combines the abstract and the specification.

Moreover, there is the brewing tip to provide the advised approach about how to brew the tea.
